Research Interest
The consistent and general motive of my research has been an interest in paleoceanography on the time scale of glacial-interglacial and environmental change in the modern ocean using planktic foraminifera or other biogenic materials. Thus far, I have been particularly working on the mechanisms of ocean carbon cycle based on the measurements of carbonate sediment dissolution. I have also been working on the influence of ocean acidification to the calcification of marine organism. Specific research interests include/included.
- Biogenic productivity change in the sea surface on the time scale of glacial-interglacial.
- Development of paleo-deep seawater [CO32–] proxy using foraminiferal shell.
- Reconstruction of deep seawater [CO32–] after the last glacial period.
- Influence of ocean acidification to carbonate organism (foraminifera and coral).
