Monthly Research Seminar - group of ...

During this seminar, we will exchange knowledge of useful software, its advantages and disadvantages, or particular software uses and functions. Each of us has discovered and worked with useful software that others are not aware of. The aim of our seminar is to exchange this knowledge and make it available to the entire group. In other words, if each of us shares his/her little treasure, we will end up with a treasure box that all of us can benefit from. In addition to the knowledge and experiences shared during the seminar, we can also benefit from a network: once we know who of us has experiences with which software, we can ask for and provide advice and support to each other when needed.

So everyone please prepare to present one software or particular functions of a software that you find particularly useful and that others in our group might not yet know! There is no limitation with regard to the kind of software: It could be software for creating maps or graphs, image processing software, references management software, software for analysing statistical or qualitative data or any other kind of software. In case you cannot think of any particular software that you want to share with the group, you can alternatively present a useful web page. You are free to present your software or web page in whatever way. A beamer will be available.
