Annual meetings with your supervisor / project / group leader
The annual meetings are meant to be an exchange between you and your supervisor / project / group leader. You can use these meetings to ask for valuable feedback regarding your project and you can discuss your further career prospects. If you like, you can also use the opportunity to give feedback to your supervisor. It is, by no means, meant to put you in a situation where you have to justify your performance! Thus, the English translation used by the university (= annual performance meeting), is totally misleading! In German they are simply called ‘annual meeting’ (Jahresgespräch).
We would like to encourage you to remind your supervisor or project / group leader if she/he should forget to invite you to the annual meeting. If you don't feel comfortable to have an annual meeting with her / him, you can contact Bettina Donnermann from the personell department.
