Collaboration with Deltares
Framework of collaboration:
The MARUM as one of the leading German Institutions on basic ocean science and technology intends to
- share MEG group laboratory and field test results with Deltares and to discuss future testing program with experts at Deltares.
- start collaborating with the current on-going projects, Vibro-CPTu and Restrike-XL and the data collected and produced in these projects will be used to further develop and validate numerical tools developed by Deltares.
- start working on the collaboration with the Deltares GEO-engineering numerical group.
- participate in the development of Anura3D as an associate member of Deltares in the MPM Anura3D community.
- work actively on joint publications, the possible exchange of co-workers and students and joint future proposals.
Deltares, the leading Dutch center for applied research in the fields of water, subsurface and infrastructure, intends to
- introduce MARUM to the MPM Anura3D community as an associate member of Deltares.
- support the numerical modelling group at MARUM with the focus on the simulation of static and vibratory cone penetration.
- collaborate on developments of the DeltaSand constitutive model by validating the model with laboratory and field data.
- contribute to the Vibro-CPTu and Restrike-XL projects as agreed upon.
