Submitted White Papers
Guidelines
White Papers should describe scientific studies, ongoing technological developments, new instruments or facilities, observatory designs, needed technological developments, or any other recommendations or information that can support shaping the future of ocean drilling. They should focus on the scientific goals that need to be addressed in a general and specific way and on the necessary techniques. White Papers should be related to conference or working group themes or else be a general thematic value; they should not constitute complete implementation plans of specific expeditions.
White Papers are solicited both from individual scientists and from teams. A given individual author is allowed to submit more than one White Paper. Attending INVEST is not mandatory for persons submitting White Papers.
In your White Paper state as succinctly as possible:
- the research focus or technology to be developed;
- the expected new outcomes and capabilities; and
- the path to achieving your goals
