The teachers of the project schools of the MARUM school project " Klima – ich wandle mich!” (Climate - I'm changing!) have now participated in the first project training in the MARUM UNISchool laboratory. The aim of the all-day event was to give the project partners impetus to implement the climate courses on climate change, climate education and education for sustainable development jointly designed in the project and to continue the joint conception of the content. Teachers from all four project schools in the state of Bremen participated.

The training was designed in cooperation with Isabell Müller, State Coordinator for Education for Sustainable Development and MINT Coordinator in Bremen. The teachers were given theoretical content on climate change and social transformation by Prof. Michael Schulz, Director of MARUM, and on inclusive didactics in education for sustainable development by Prof. Kersten Reich (University of Cologne). In subsequent workshops, the participants were able to exchange ideas with each other.

MARUM and the school laboratory were also the meeting point for participants of the Conference 2021 " Schule MIT Wissenschaft” (School WITH Science). Part of the program were guided tours for a total of 40 teachers through MARUM - Center for Marine Environmental Sciences. On Saturday and Sunday, the MARUM UNISchool laboratory offered two workshops on the topic of "Climate" with lively participation. Educators from all over Germany participated in the conference.
