Open Worlds - Share Knowledge: OPEN CAMPUS at the University of Bremen

The University of Bremen invites you to OPEN CAMPUS on Friday, June 23, and Saturday, June 24, 2023. After open-air concerts on Friday evening, OPEN CAMPUS will offer a look behind the scenes of the large teaching and research institution with a full program of lectures, guided tours and poetry slam starting at noon on Saturday. In the evening, a stage program with headliner "Gentleman" will close the event. The OPEN CAMPUS is free of charge.

Under the motto "Open Worlds - Share Knowledge", departments and institutes offer lots of interesting and entertainingly packaged information. MARUM – Center for Marine Environmental Sciences will also be present - in tent pagoda 21 there will be, among other things, an interactive touch exhibit on selected international networks of the scientific focus Marine, Polar and Climate Research to explore. The projects shown on the touch module make it clear how important interdisciplinarity and global networking are for successful research. In addition, two guided tours also offer insights into MARUM:

Guided tour 1: June 24, 2023, 1 to 2 p.m.

With the latest technology in the deep sea - large-scale scientific equipment at MARUM – Center for Marine Environmental Sciences at the University of Bremen.

Guided tour 2: June 24, 2023, 4 to 5 p.m.

Archive of Earth History: Tour through the Drill Core Repository at MARUM – Center for Marine Environmental Sciences of the University of Bremen

As the number of participants for guided tours is limited, it is advisable to book the free tickets online by 12 noon on Saturday, June 24.
