Optimising the initial phase of a PhD project
The initial phase of a PhD project can be critical for its further development. Defining goals and objectives, setting up a time line with milestones, identifying methodology and project partners, setting up a thesis committee are some of the most obvious tasks.
Other factors can significantly improve the success of a PhD candidate, such as defining personal qualification and development goals and discussing a supervision / communication strategy.
In this workshop we plan to discuss and gather best practice examples and possibly come up with a common strategy for initiating PhD projects and supervision.
