Podcasts have become very popular in the past years. They are available for many different topics, also in science.
Listening to podcasts can be an easy-going distraction and an alternative way of educating yourself.
On this web page, you will find examples of science podcasts to get started. This list cannot be complete but it may give you an idea of the variety of topics. 57 Exzellenzcluster – ein Podcast: Regelmäßig berichtet „Exzellent erklärt“ aus einem der Forschungsverbünde, die im Rahmen der Exzellenzstrategie des Bundes und der Länder gefördert werden.
Die Reise geht quer durch die Republik und genauso vielfältig wie die Standorte sind die Themen: von A wie Afrikastudien bis Z wie Zukunft der Medizin. In jeder Folge interviewt die Podcasterin Larissa Vassilian Wissenschaftlerinnen und Wissenschaftler eines der Exzellenzcluster. Alle Exzellenzcluster verbindet eine gemeinsame Motivation: Sie adressieren wichtige Themen unserer Zeit, bearbeiten außergewöhnliche Fragen und forschen für die Gesellschaft von morgen.

Wir sind Janna Rückert und Valentin Ludwig* und machen Polarforschung in Bremen und Bremerhaven. Wir reden gerne, sowohl über unsere Forschung als auch miteinander und haben uns daher entschlossen, einen Podcast rauszubringen.
In 20-30 Minuten erklären wir jede Folge einen Aspekt unserer Arbeit. Wichtig ist uns, dass das ganze a) unterhaltsam und b) verständlich ist, weil wir beide fest davon überzeugt sind, dass Humor eines der besten Werkzeuge im Geräteschuppen der Wissenschaftskommunikation ist.
