26th General Assembly of the International Union of Geodesy and Geophysics 2015

The 26th General Assembly of the International Union of Geodesy and Geophysics (IUGG) was held from June 22 to July 2, 2015 in Prague, the Czech Republic. It was host to the symposia of the International Association for the Physical Sciences of the Oceans (IAPSO).
I was happy to participate in this conference with my poster on "Energy Transfer Through the Mixed Layer Estimated With a Hybrid Model." Not only the discussions during my presenting session but throughout the whole meeting were constructive and triggered lots of progress for my doctoral research. The assembly also gave me the opportunity to get impressions and insights about ongoing research in all the field of physical oceanography.

Additional meetings with my Canadian project partners extended our collaboration and gave an excellent opportunity to prepare the upcoming research placement later the same year. I am grateful ArcTrain funded my travel to this conference. Excellent scientific discussions, new connections and enhanced international collaboration but also a warm summer week in the beautiful city of Prague are just some of the benefits I took home.
