Latest issue of science-journal Nature reports about mussels that can produce energy from hydrogen with the help of special bacteria. This discovery was made by Nicole Dubilier of the Max-Planck-Institute for Marine Microbiology and MARUM-scientists in the area of hydrothermal vents.
