The University of Bremen is hosting the German Government's Sustainability Conference on December 7. On the topic of "Shaping the future – transformation, together, now!", participants will discuss how the German government's sustainability strategy can be further developed in the coming years.

In a panel discussion on Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) and Future Skills, Dr. Sylvia Stegmann will present the school project "Klima-ich wandle mich!", which is based at MARUM. Dr. Nike Fuchs is involved in the Marine Protection impulse workshop.

To kick off the conference, the participants took part in guided tours of MARUM and were informed about current marine research topics. Prof. Dr. Stefan Lechtenböhmer from the Kassel Institute for Sustainability gave the keynote speech.
