MARUM Cape Blanc Sediment traps

The MARUM Cape Blanc Sediment Trap Repository curates the samples of the MARUM Cape Blanc sediment trap ocean observatory representing one of the longest continuous sediment trap time series world wide. Monitoring the particle flux to the sea floor since March 1988, the series is approaching a length that allows quantitative investigation of decadal-scale changes in productivity, lithogenic flux and the composition of marine plankton.
