Abstract

Revolutionary sub-mm lipid biomarker measurements enable SST reconstructions with seasonal temporal resolution, and when combined with sub-annual element-based precipitation proxies, facilitate a robust, multi-proxy reconstruction of interannual Indian monsoon intensities and ITCZ position with implications for global atmospheric circulation.

This project will provide unprecedent insights into the interannual variability of the  Indian monsoon during the Late Holocene via reconstruction of sea surface temperature and precipitation from laminated Pakistan Margin sediments.
