Benefits of writing a big grant proposal
Personal stories about the pay-offs, whether the proposal is funded or not
Wednesday, 14 June 2023, 10:00-12:15
Room 2060
Organised by MARUM Gender Equality Officers
(Florence Schubotz, Julie Meilland, Alice Lefebvre)
Writing a proposal for a big grant (e.g. ERC, Emmy Noether) can be intimidating because of all the work it involves, and it can be discouraging because of the low success rate. With this workshop, we would like to give insights into the individual steps involved in writing a proposal for a big grant and highlight all the ways you can benefit from submitting a proposal, even if it is not funded. During the seminar, you will hear stories from four scientists who were successful or unsuccessful with their proposal, and how it benefitted their career in any case.
This seminar is open to all and particularly to 3rd year PhD students and postdocs
The seminar took place on Wednesday 14 June from 10:00 until 12:15. Thank you to the participants!
