Jan 2017: GMLE Special Issue articles of the WIMO projects are out!

The large collaboration project WIMO "Scientific monitoring concepts for the German Bight" has come to an end. Groups from 12 German research and administrative institutions had worked on the development of monitoring methodology for an assessment of the marine environmental state. Monitoring concepts are available online at wimo.meeresschutz.info. The final report and all articles of the special issue on the project are now online (see below).

The printed hardcopy of the special issue will be available as Geo-Mar Lett Volume 37, Issue 2 in April 2017.

new Camera System installed on sea mark "Wremer Loch"
In the framework of the BAW project MorphoWeser and in cooperation with the relevant waterways and shipping authority (WSA Bremerhaven) we installed a camera system on the sea mark "Wremer Loch" in the Outer Weser estuary. The prototype system is to observe storm driven tidal channel morphodynamics in the vicinity.
