Research Placements for Guest PhD Students
GLOMAR offers research experience placements (internships) for visiting PhD students from other institutions. Up to 2 placements are available per year.
The main costs should be funded by your host institution. GLOMAR can provide a stipend of 500 € per month to the PhD student for a maximum of 3 months.

If you are interested in a research placement at MARUM / GLOMAR, please send your application to the GLOMAR scientific coordinator. Your application should contain the following information / documents:
- CV
- letter of motivation* (1 page)
- outline of the PhD project (1 page)
- work plan for your stay in Bremen (1 page)
- letter of support from your supervisor
- letter of support from your host in Bremen

Once you have completed your placement, you are required to submit a report with a photo of yourself in a working situation during your research placement.
