Annual Meeting 2014
5th to 6th of May 2014, Marum, Bremen
ArcTrain Annual Meetings are an essential element of the organization of ArcTrain, assuring effective communication among PIs and PhD students from Germany and Canada. The meetings include a status seminar, where PhD students present the progress of their work, as well as talks by invited guest speakers, who will also interact with the PhD students and PIs. During the first annual meeting, the PhD students were expected to present in 15 minutes, including time for discussion, the scientific aims and broader significance of their respective projects. The status seminar were accompanied by thesis committee meetings, and a meeting of the Advisory Group. The organizational matters of ArcTrain were discussed during the General Assembly, to which the steering committee reported.
