Micropalaeontology-Palaeoceanography
Our research combines the study of marine microfossils with the investigation of their living relatives. We use molecular genetics, laboratory experiments and field observations on living foraminifera and dinoflagellates to develop and improve methods for reconstructions of past climates from marine sediment cores. The results help us to understand how past oceans and marine ecosystems reacted to global change.
