Registration and abstract submission

Registration and abstract submission is closed since 5 July 2014.

General guidelines

  • The registration and abstract submission are done at the same time. Although it is possible to register without submitting an abstract, it is recommended to contribute to the conference by presenting your research.
  • All contributions must be in English. Different types of presentations are possible.
  • The sessions are not predefined; instead, you are asked to provide 4 keywords which will be used to define the session themes.
  • Registration and abstract submission deadline: 5 July 2014
  • Your abstract will be evaluated by two reviewers who will give you feedback on its clarity and interdisciplinarity by the beginning of August.
  • All applicants will be informed about the acceptance of their submissions by mid-August.
  • All presentations at ECC will be evaluated by peer feedback.
  • You may (!) additionally upload your CV to a CV booklet which will be visible for potential employees during the conference. Deadline: 15 Sep 2014

Abstract submission guidelines

  • The abstract should present the aim and relevance of your research in a language that is accessible to an interdisciplinary audience.
  • The abstract should be 200 words at maximum.
  • Please provide one sentence statement advertising the presentation (additional to the title) containing no more than 20 words. See abstract example. This will be printed in the program book.
  • Four keywords should be selected/ given. These will be used to categorise abstracts and define sessions. See abstract example
  • Up to 3 words or expressions can be defined (maximum length of definitions: 35 words). All the definitions will be put together in order to form a glossary. See abstract example
