Bremen is a major cultural and economic hub in the northern region of Germany. It is home to dozens of historical galleries and museums and a large number of multinational companies and manufacturing centres including the Hachez chocolate company and Becks brewery. Four-time German football champions Werder Bremen are also based in the city.

Bremen is some 60 km south of the mouth of the Weser on the North Sea. Bremen and Bremerhaven (at the mouth of the Weser) together comprise the state of the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen.

Bremen is equipped with an international airport situated only 10 min away from the city centre, and a well-connected main train station, making it easy to reach. For more information on how to arrive in Bremen, click here

Many destinations can be reached on foot from the city centre. For places further away, other than cycling, the best way to get around in Bremen is using the BSAG (Bremen bus and tram system). You can find ticket types, prices, as well as timetables and connections on the BSAG website
