At ECC 2014 the following keynote speakers will complement our program and inspire our way of interdisciplinary thinking:
Dr. Maja Schlüter, Stockholm Resilience Centre, Sweden.
Maja Schlüters keynote lecture will address the questions how human activities affect the ecological systems and how human activities are affected by processes of the ecological system.
Prof. Dr. Victor Smetacek, Alfred Wegener Institute, Bremerhaven
Victor Smetacek will discuss how the different disciplines of marine sciences may cooperate to remove anthropogenic CO2 from the atmosphere
Prof. Dr. Caroline Y. Robertson von Trotha, Centre for Cultural and General Studies, Karlsruhe, Professor of sociology and cultural studies.
Caroline Y. Robertson von Trothas lecture will focus on theory and practice of science communication.
