Science in a pub

Robots playing soccer, the climate and ocean popcorn: scientists from Bremen institutes bring their research to pubs. After a long pandemic-related break, Science goes PUBlic will start again on October 14 at 8.30 pm. An overview of participating scientists, their topics and the pubs can be found here (in German). The series is supported by the Network Science Communication in the State of Bremen.

For six weeks, at least half an hour is dedicated to research in pubs in Bremen and Bremerhaven. There are three contributions from MARUM this fall: Franziska Tell will talk about her research on planktonic foraminifera on October 28, Thomas Westerhold on November 11 about the climate of the past, and Elda Miramontes-Garcia on November 18 about particle transport in the deep sea.

The hygiene concept of the individual venues applies on all evenings.
