How does global warming affect the climate variability of the tropics and the coral reef ecosystem? Researchers are investigating this question in the Priority Programme "Tropical Climate Variability & Coral Reefs" (SPP 2299) funded by the German Research Foundation (Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft – DFG).

Around 20 young researchers from all over Germany, who are funded within the SPP, are meeting at MARUM this week. During the meeting, they will be able to network in order to work together across projects within the broad program and to jointly address the most important research questions. The program will be rounded off by invited speakers who will talk about diversity in research and social media in science.
