Open House at the Federal Ministry of Education and Research

„Ein Tag für alle“ („A day for everybody“) was the motto of two open days that the Federal Government organized for the last weekend in August. Chancellery, Federal Press Office, Federal Intelligence Service, and the Federal Ministries opened their doors for a total of nearly 100,000 visitors.
As part of the ongoing Year of Science “Seas and Oceans”, a large portion of the exhibition and activities at the Federal Ministry of Education and Research centered on marine sciences.

Federal Minister of Education and Research, Johanna Wanka, discussed aspects of marine research in Germany with Rolf Peinert (Managing Director KDM, left) and Michael Schulz (MARUM).
