(Parts of a) long MeBo core on the lab table

After three-and-a-half weeks on expedition at sea MARUM scientist now return to Bremen with a sedimentary record from the sea floor of more than half a kilometer in length in total. They did all in all 11 successful drillings with the sea floor drill rig MeBo – for the first time also through cold-water coral mounds.
