MARUM-NERIDIS successfully tested

The newly developed benthic profiler MARUM-NERIDIS was successfully tested in the Baltic Sea during a cruise with RV ALKOR. The system has been designed for surveys in water depths up to 500 metres. It detects sediment composition with a resolution of one metre.
