The world's glaciers are melting. In the Arctic and in the high mountains of the world where glaciers are at home, temperatures are rising faster than elsewhere on earth. Many glaciers are now smaller than ever before in their long history of tens of thousands of years. To better estimate how glaciers will continue to melt in the 21st century, an international study led by the University of Bremen and MARUM has compared different models.
