MARUM`s director, Prof. Michael Schulz, presents cores in the labs of the Bremen Core Repository of the Integrated Ocean Drilling Programm IODP.
Recently the German Academic Exchange Service invited scientists from US and Canadian to come to Bremen. The visiting scientists toured MARUM and discussed international cooperation in marine sciences. The newly introduced German-Canadian Research Training Group ArcTrain raised major interest. In ArcTrain MARUM cooperates with eight Canadian universities. During the visit three workshops were organized, which covered issues such as strategies for internationalization, mobility of PhD students, and challenges of introducing an international campus. During their visit the colleagues from the US and Canada will also visit Humbold University in Berlin and the Technische Universität in Braunschweig. more...
