The geoscientific colloquium is organized by the Fachbereich 5 of the University of Bremen in the winter semester 2021/2021.

The Department of Geosciences has invited young, international geophysicists to present in our Geoscientific Colloquium this year entitled “Perspectives of non-seismic applied near-surface geophysics”. The focus will be on the immediate future of this research area and prospects of non-seismic geophysical methods and their applications.

Those interested can attend the lectures every Wednesday in the Geosciences lecture hall or via Zoom

Dr. Amir Haroon

At the first lecture on Wednesday, November 3, 12:15 p.m., Dr. Amir Haroon from GEOMAR Helmholtz Centre for Ocean Research Kiel will speak. The title of his talk is "Integrated marine Controlled Source Electromagnetic applications for detecting freshened groundwater in coastal regions."
