Polar Systems (POSY2)

Within the scope of the POSY project, activity 3: Serpentinisation and fluid circulation at ultraslow spreading ridge systems, Ricarda Dziadek will investigate a streamlined workflow for synthesising various data sets at different scales, that have been compiled during phase 2. A tool will be developed, that facilitates particularly the use of geo-referenced, high-resolution sea floor imagery (foto, video), embedded in a GIS based compilation of regional geophysical, geological and biological information. The project further focusses on bridging geothermal heat flow to observations at the sea floor and investigates sampling strategies for future expeditions, by the means of Curie depth estimates.
