Research Interests
I am interested in the long term cycling of organic carbon and interactions between climate, geomorphology and the biosphere.
I use stable isotopes and radiocarbon as source tracers for organic carbon to reveal how it travels from mountainous regions to the ocean. I also use hydrogen isotopes of plant waxes to reveal climatic changes in the past which in turn influence the capacity of a landscapes to store or release organic carbon.
