How to make a good poster.
Many GLOMAR Group of 2017 members start attending conferences, and some of them present their research in form of posters. The quality of the poster greatly influences whether conference participants will look at it, what they will think about the author and his/her research, and whether they want to get and stay in touch with him/her and become part of his/her network. Making a good scientific poster can be a challenge, especially as many of the Group of 2017 members have no or barely any experience with this. In the first part of the seminar, Martin will provide input on how to make a good poster. In the second part of the seminar, we will evaluate seminar participants’ posters. Some of them have certainly already prepared posters or are planning to prepare posters for an upcoming conference. They are encouraged to bring those posters to the seminar. They will receive feedback on their posters, and all seminar participants will learn lessons by evaluating the posters.
