IF Design Award

Press Release, University of the Arts Bremen:

Under the discipline of "concepts", for students of national and international universities, the University of the Arts Bremen played an important role. The jury awarded prizes to 28 of 308 total submissions. The prize money, amounting to a total of 25,000 Euros, was shared, among others, by Jens Schulz, Rasmus Giesel, Alexander Hanowski, and Silke Nachtigahl for their mobile lecture podium, the "Profmobil", as well as Thomas Loy for his mobile LED reading light.

Over the past 50 years the trademark iF has established itself world-wide for outstanding design efforts. For many companies and designers the award granted by the high-carat iF jury has attained a status as the most important design prize. This year participants from over 32 countries submitted a total of 1,458 entries to be evaluated in competition for the iF Award.
