2) Which factors control the formation of authigenic minerals at cold seeps and can we use these mineral precipitates to reconstruct changes in upward methane flux and seep activity through time?


3) Which environmental conditions induce phosphate accumulation and release in polyphosphate accumulating bacteria.


4) Can we identify parameters indicating microbial induced phosphorite formation.
