Laboratory Container
The ESO Laboratory Container provides the offshore facility for geochemical and microbiological analyses. All ESO personnel and scientists assigned to the Lab Container share the responsibility of processing analyses following IODP guidelines and maintaining the lab.
The ESO Lab Container is permanently equipped with:
- AC / heater
- fume hood
- 2 sinks (hot/cold water if connected to freshwater)
- small fridge
- deep freezer (-80°C)
- power: 220V, 50-60Hz, Eurosocket (if conneted to 400VAC - 64A plug)
