Core photography
For documentation of the condition of the cored material including color, structure and other visaul characteristics the archive half is photographed before final curation and storage in the reefer. On request close-ups will be taken from areas of special interest. Table layout and close-up core photography are carried out using a Olympus E1 digital camera:

Camera settings depend on the system configuration of the mobile frame and its location.
Check the actual setting put up next to the frame!
At a minimum of twice a day (or when the memory of the camera is full) the .raw and .jpg-images will be transfered to a laptop and stored additionally on a separat server.
