Cryogenic magnetometer robot

The magnetometer is equipped with an pneumatic autosampler which had been developed by the Marine Geophysics Section. The 'robot' takes sets of up to eight samples at a time from the tray and inserts them into the magnetometer. After completing the measurement, the 'robot' takes the sample set out of the magnetometer, stores it back on the tray and continues with the next set.

The exact sample sets and the type(s) of measurement are defined by a scriptfile that can manage the treatment of up to 98 samples.
