Research interests
Modeling of stable isotopes in the hydrological cycle of coupled ocean-atmosphere general circulation models.
We use the ECHAM5 atmospheric GCM to simulate climate conditions in interglacial periods, such as the Eemian (MIS 5e) and the mid-Holocene. Anomalies of the stable isotopes 18-O and deuterium are interpreted with respect to changes in precipitation, temperature and advection/circulation pattern.
