The use of high-resolution multichannel seismics, sediment echosounding systems and swath-sounding systems to study:
-Sedimentation and transport processes on continental slopes, deep-sea fans and in lakes
-Architecture of channel-levee systems
-Source to sink transport pathways
-IODP and ICDP pre-site surveys
